Headshot of Principal Zembruski With globalization, the internet, and remote working positions allowing and requiring people from all over the world to work together to achieve a common goal, it is imperative for people to understand other cultures to be successful. Our goal is to provide a world-class education for every student that will prepare students to meet the challenges of a global 21st century. This is the mission and vision of our school.

Throughout my varied professional roles, I have always had a passion for equity, and a commitment to making a difference in the lives of children and their families. I became a school administrator because I believe all children have a right to a quality education and the opportunity to reach their highest potential. It is my personal and professional goal, to ensure that we, “through the support of family, school staff, and the community, create a safe and positive learning environment that is conducive to academic excellence, developmental growth, and citizenship to empower lifelong learners.”

Time is so very precious! I urge you to take the time to enjoy every minute of your child’s elementary educational experience. Together, as partners, we can create a strong foundation that will help prepare our students for today’s challenges and future educational success!

Sincerely,
Sarah Zembruski
Principal

Why choose Estrella Foothills?

LEARN

We are excited to be able to offer such an extensive exposure of global studies. Through global studies, we believe we can help students become responsible members of local, national, and global communities. To provide global experiences, students will have the opportunity to participate in skype experiences, international service learning projects, globally focused project-based learning, along with integration with academic standards and curriculum programs. Students will also have the great opportunity to be exposed to the Mandarin language beginning in kindergarten with full language exploration beginning in fifth grade. Estrella Foothills Global Academy is an International Baccalaureate Candidate School for the Middle Years Programme. Through this programme, all students will embark upon the focused learning attributes with every lesson including three specific inquiry questions that are factual, conceptual, and debatable. The Middle Years Programme is a challenging framework that encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world. For more information about the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, please visit https://www.ibo.org/programmes/middle-years-programme/.

Throughout the year, we involve our students in many community and cultural events.  We believe to be a better citizen, one must cooperatively work to serve their community.  Our staff commits themselves to appreciating diversity, promoting inclusion, and showing respect for others.  We have this same expectation for our students.
